Though Kevin has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher, there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all of the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey, Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him, as well as everyone around him, as the walls between his compartments shatter.

My Review
The movie is fantastically portrayed by the cast, with my favorite being James McAvoy and his magnificent acting as Kevin and his alter personalities. Each and every personality on display is distinct to one another, making it easy and enjoyable for the audience to follow along. The personalities wonderfully blend together to build the tension along the storyline, making the audience feel the protagonist's misery, then showing his devilish sides. The rollercoaster of emotions only increases as the minutes go by, making it by far one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. Not only does McAvoy do a marvelous job in the movie, but co-star Anya Taylor-Joy surpasses expectations. Her portrayal of Casey makes the audience feel as if they are part of the story, stuck alongside her in that basement. Although I am not usually a fan of thrillers or horror movies, this made me more interested in the overall genre of thriller. Moreover, the lack of an immense amount of highly graphic scenes truly is a positive aspect, at least in my books. So, if you, like me, wish to watch a thriller that isn't too graphic, I would highly recommend that you give Split a watch!
