Rosie and Alex have been friends since childhood and cannot imagine themselves as a couple. However, when they head in different directions, and Alex's family move from Dublin to America, they realise that they are made for each other. The two struggle to make their friendship survive years and miles. They gamble everything they can for true love.
“Today I love you more than ever; tomorrow I will love you even more. I need you more than ever; I want you more than ever.”
My Review
Love, Rosie is a very touching and twisted friends-to-lovers story. Rosie and Alex's relationship and individual characters conveyed plenty of messages. The major message, which was truly beautifully portrayed, is that it is never too late to start over and be happy. The only thing you need is the courage to admit it and the persistence to aim it. If real love exists, it will eventually find its way. Another message, that I thought was wonderful, was that sometimes something we need is right in front of your nose, and it takes years to realize it. Therefore, kudos to the cast and crew for bringing out such a wonderful script which can also serve as a life lesson. And, as I mentioned in another review, although I am not a huge fan of romantic and lovey-dovey movies, this film, with it's wholesome message, was much more enjoyable than I had expected. Although this movie did seem a bit unrealistic at times, and was quite the rom-com cliché, it is 100% worth a watch!
